I had a few matches in this, as much fun as it was i could not deal with the stupid people i was with, apparently your not aloud to have fun in PvP snowball fights these days you have to be serious and not have time to enjoy yourself

Go to Lions Arch and in front of the skills guy is Grenth and Dwayna. Inbetween them is the snowball guy. Under his name it says [Snowball Fight]. (If you can't find the skills guy go near the henches and look around for Grenth and Dwayna.
There is also one near the exit in Ascalon City if you're not at Lions Arch yet.

W/R are simply the best classes to take into the snowball arena. Warriors get the damage reduction (which admittedly isn't much, but it still gives an extra hit to live), and Rangers get to bring a pet... somehow... and said pet can still attack... somehow...
So... yeah. At least Mesmers get a really cool skill #6. Interruption + Blind = ignore for 10 second. Excellent for protecting the present runners.
Oh, and Dwayna's side for me... slowing down the enemy is good fun. I've saved a couple presents that way.
But my one question regarding the arena is this: Why bother with energy? We get 40 with 4 regen... yet none of the skills use it. I don't get it.

I'm not so sure for the Mesmer special. I've read(somewhere) that since the Snowball skill is a spell/skill and NOT an attack, the blind is pointless. Any confirmation?
But still the intterupt is good nonetheless.

Here's my dilema. I'm a Grenth man myself, but I far prefer the skillset I get when playing on Dwayna's side. The only way to win against a warrior heavy team is with that AOE Cripple. I love when the whole team charges in at once, and just before they get there, a snowman lands on them. Free gift for my team.
Still, I want Grenth to win in the end.

I think it's just a way of saying, "Level Playing Field". *Shrugs*
[EDIT] One other thing, on the subject of Pets in Snowball Fights:
It is harder than heck to get them to target someone, and my Strider has a nasty habit of body-blocking me. Many a time I have made an enemy drop a gift, but I couldn't pick it up because the bird was standing between me and the enemy. Very frustrating.[/EDIT]

pets are easy to maneuver, just takes some getting used to.
and to get them to attack just target your enemy and hit space.. o.O

I named my pet Fungus Among (max characters allowed). It was amazing how many people ended up attacking my pet instead of me.
As soon as I did that I got a well rounded team and racked up almost 20 consecutive wins (Christmas morning-we all agreed we had enough and parted ways).
Edit~Prep with Hidden Rock during countdown, toss 4 Snowballs, one Giant Snowball, Avalanche, then Holiday Blues ftw. Of course this works best on the ice.
